THE RISE OF SNEAKER CULTURE

"Get your kicks on"

Last week I went to "The Rise of sneaker Culture" exhibition at the Perth art gallery.
With more then 150 rare and iconic sneakers on display, this exhibition proved to be a lot more interesting then I expected.

On display are shoes from Adidas, Converse, Nike and Puma, as well as private collectors such as legendary hip-hop group Run-DMC, as well as other sneaker guru's. Also featured are sneaker collaborations between celebrities artists and high-end fashion houses, including Kanye West, Damien First, Prada, and Lanvin.

There are also 1860's speed running shoes, an original 1923 Converse All Star/Non Skid, pair of 1936 track shoes, the original Air Force 1, and early Adidas Superstars.

The Exhibition finishes on September 4th 2017 and its FREE, so get yourself down there and check it out!
